In answer to this question, we must say that restoring a deleted story is different from restoring a post. So that the story can only be restored for 24 hours, while if your story archive option is active, it can be recovered up to 30 days.

How to find deleted post and story on instagram?

To view deleted content on Instagram, you should go to your profile and click on “your activity” section then tap on “recently deleted” option. You can see all deleted content in that folder.

1. Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
2. Tap on the three lines icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Now you can see several options. Enter “Your activity” option from the opened menu.
4. Then click on Recently Deleted option.

How to restore deleted post?

To recover the deleted post, after finding deleted content, tap on the desired post and then select the restore option.  Your post will be displayed in your profile easily. 

Follow the steps below to restore your post more easily :

1. First go to the recently deleted folder as in the previous step.
2. Tap on the desired file and select the three dots option on the right side of the image.
3. Click restore from the opened menu.
4. A message confirming the recovery will be displayed on screen.
   

In some cases for restore the post, after verification, a page will open to make instagram sure that you are the owner of the account. After that, you should pass this steps :

• Then a code will be sent to your mobile number or email address.
• By entering the code and clicking next, your content will be restored.

How to recover deleted archived stories?

If you delete archived stories, you can restore them for up to 30 days.  So if you want that content, you have to restore it before 1 month has passed.

Let’s see what needs to be done to restore the deleted story.
For this, it is enough to go to the recently deleted section and select the story option in that part.  Then you can restore the story you want by clicking on it and selecting the restore option.

Now, follow the steps below to restore deleted story :

1. Like restoring posts, go to recently deleted section and select story option from the top menu.
2. Tap on the desired story to open it.
3. Then find the three dots on the right and click on restore.
4. Like the post recovery process, your story will also be recovered after that you click on restore again.

What happens after the posts and stories are restored? 

By going through the steps taught above and after restoring the deleted content, that content will be returned to your profile as a post or story, or it will be displayed in archive section of your account and you can use it again.
